Happy Friday!
We have come to the end of another great week  at Killian.   On Monday, May 22, at 9:00 am in the media center, our class will be putting on "The Three Little Pigs" fairy-tale production! Each student has been assigned a part or job. Please check their binder for their scripts which were sent home today. These scripts should be returned DAILY. They will practice in class but should also practice at home to prepare for the production.  I need your help with the costumes. Below is the attire for the parts. We are in need of a wolf's tail, artificial apples and straw hats. Please let me know if you have these items. I would love to have all of you attend to show your support to our second graders!
Thanking you in advance for your support!
Ms. Dailey

Greetings!
We have had a FUN FILLED week!    Our week began with Market Day.  Students used their creativity to produce goods and sold their products to classmates in a “market place” setting. At the Riverbank  Zoo,  students visited  different animal exhibits and made connections  to our current unit of study "Animals and their Environments".  We ended  our  week with field day. Students rotated into stations and participated in non - competitive games and activities.    Thanks to all of my students for  staying on track and being flexible when needed. I have posted pictures on Twitter for you to view.

I hope you have had a well rested and enjoyable Spring Break.   I'm excited to hear about everyone's experiences.  Now its time for another fun and exciting  week  at Killian.

Tuesday, April 18th, will be Market Day.  This event will begin at 8:30 am.   Please refer to the rubric to ensure that your child receives  the maximum amount of points. They should create a display board to advertise their product and  bring in CHANGE ONLY  to make purchases.

Thursday, April 20th,  will be our final field study to the River Bank Zoo.     As we all know the zoo is a very large place and can be a bit crowded at times.   Therefore, I would like your assistance with this trip.  If you are available  to chaperone, please contact me through email,  phone, or Remind.  If possible, all students should wear their blue Killian t-shirt or a t-shirt that has Killian written on it.

Due to inclement weather,  Field Day was canceled.  I will notify you when a new date and time is given.

Many students are without headphones and pencils.  Please check with your child to see if they are in need of these items.
