Greetings Families!
We had a fun and exciting week! It was great seeing students showing spirit during Attendance Awareness Spirit Week . Thank for allowing them to participate. Thursday was our first field study to Ed Venture. Students had a fantastic time learning about forces in motion and exploring the museum. Today, students participated in their first STEAM activity "Tower Power". This activity was engaging, competitive and FUN! I have posted pictures on Classtag and Twitter for you to view.

Tomorrow will be Family Killian Family Fun Day @ 10:00am- 1:00pm. Please see the light blue flyer that was sent home in your child's blue folder for a list of exciting events that will take place. I hope to see each of you.

Parents will not receive paper copies of interims. Please check parent portal to see your child's progress. Grades are visible on parent portal after 24 hours of them being entered.

You may login in to access your child's reading "Treasures" book at connected.mcgraw-hill.com.  Your child's user name and password  we be  pasted in their binder on Monday.  You may need to add (R2) behind their user name.   


Please check with  your child  to see if they are in need of headphones.  They are an essential part of using the Chromebook.

We just wrapped up another AWESOME week!

Thursday, September 28th is our first field study! We will go to EdVenture. Please allow your child to wear his/her Killian shirt. If you do not have one, please wear a royal blue or a white shirt, if possible. Payments may be made online through Parent Portal, under the “Student Fees” section.    If you choose to use this method of payment, please write a note on the top of the form indicating you have paid.  You should use this link to view the field trip form. Field Trip Form  If you plan to chaperon, please notify me through email, Class Tag or a note in your child's binder.

Greetings Families,
Hooray to my Leading Lions for another FANTASTIC week!  They are working diligently to lead by example and to do their personal best daily.   

Students took their reading and math MAP assessments on Wednesday and Friday.  Thanks for ensuring all students were present and on time each day.    Next week, I will continue to administer DRA individualized assessments.
