Greetings,
This week, students will take their MAP Assessment on Wednesday and Thursday. This assessment is used to measure a student’s growth in Mathematics and Reading. Please ensure that your child receives lots of rest each night and arrives to school on time each morning.
Listed below are the field study dates and costs for the 2017-18 school year. This permission slip will cover all field studies for the year. I encourage you to complete and return the bottom portion of the slip by September 8th. Payments may be made online through Parent Portal, under the “Student Fees” section. If you choose to use this method of payment, please write a note on the top of the form indicating you have paid. You should use this link to view the field trip form. Field Trip Form

Assessments
Assessments for reading comprehension and vocabulary will be given on Thursday. Students are required to read each test question independently (unless they have an IEP). Therefore, I encourage you to speak to your child about taking their time and reading each question carefully. They are allowed to use their book when answering their reading comprehension questions. Math assessment will be given at the end of each unit.
