Greetings!

We have had a Fun Filled and Productive week!

MAP Testing
Our week began with MAP testing!  Students did a FANTASTIC job staying focused and showing what they have learned throughout the year.    You will find an unofficial copy of their scores inside their blue communication folder.   Please ask your child to explain their results to you.  If you have any further questions, I will be more than happy to speak with you.

River Bank Zoo
Our field study to the River Bank Zoo was exciting!   A special thanks to the chaperones: Mr. and Mrs. Moore, Mr. McCoy, Ms. Parker, and Mrs. Briggman!   Pictures have been uploaded to  Class Tag for you to view.

Aesop's Fables Plays
On Wednesday, May 8, 2019 @ 9:30am our class  will be putting on Aesop's Fables
Plays in our classroom.   Each student has been assigned a part or job. Please check
their binder for their scripts.  Students will practice  in class but should
also practice at home to prepare for the production. I will need your help
with their costumes and props. Please notify me if you are able to assist.

Pochahontas Field Study

On May 10th, students will have their final field study to see the Pocahontas Ballet @ Richland Northeast High School.

I hope you have had a well rested and enjoyable Spring Break.   I'm excited to  hear about everyone's experiences.

Second Grade students will take the end of the year MAP Test (Measure of Academic Progress)  on April 23-24.  Below  is a site to help students prepare for success.

Homework
Due to MAP testing and the Zoo Field Study, students will not have homework this week.  They should work on the site above and/or read for 20 mins each night.

Zoo Field Study
Thursday, April 25th, will be our field study to the River Bank Zoo.   As we
all know thezoo is a very large place and can be a bit crowded at times.
Therefore, I would like your assistance with this trip. If you are available to
chaperone, please contact me through email, phone, or Class Tag.
If possible, students should wear a t-shirt that has Killian written on it or
their uniform. Chaperones  must pay an entry fee at the zoo.
Due to limited space on the bus for chaperones, parents are asked to drive.
Thanks for your understanding! .
