Greetings!  

We have had a short,  yet productive week.  

Report cards were distributed on Thursday.   If you have not done so, please sign and return the cover.  The report card should be kept at home.      

Congratulations to those students who made the honor roll.     I look forward to  many more  students making the honor roll next nine week.


Our story for the week will be A Harbor Seal Pup Grows Up. We will focus on similes and sequential order within text.     Students will take their assessments on Thursday.

Happy Friday!  

We just ended another great week!   Our STEAM Day activity was a success.    Students enjoyed building towers using base ten blocks.   

Monday, January 21st will be Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.  Schools will be closed.  

On Tuesday, I will administer the mid-year DRA assessment.  Students will be tested individually on reading comprehension and fluency.    

Our story for the week will be  A Trip to the Emergency Room. We will focus on the skill of sequencing events.     Students will take their assessments on Friday.

Greetings!  

We just wrapped up another week of  fun and learning.   Students did a great job adjusting back to normal routines after the long winter break.    I am looking forward to another fantastic week beginning Monday.


Friday, January 18th  will be half -day dismissal @  11:30am .  Please send in a note  if your child's transportation changes on that day.     Monday,  January   21st   will be a student holiday      


Tuesday, January 15 th will be our Chick-Fil-A Family Night from  5:00 - 7:00.    I hope to see each of you!  

Our story for the week will be Officer Buckle and Glory  We will focus on the skill of character analysis and context clues.     Students will take their assessments on  Thursday.  Homework assignments will be given each night.

Happy New Year

I am so excited to see students return back to school on Monday, January 7, 2019.     I am sure they will have many fun and exciting things to share about their winter break.   Now it's time to get back to learning and adjusting to the routines of school.     
Please check with  your child  to see if they are in need of  headphones.  They are an essential part of using the Chromebook.  

Our story for the week is Head, Body, Legs:  A Story from Liberia.    We will focus on the  reading skill of  cause and effect.   Students will take their assessments on Thursday.
