February 20, 2017

We have had a wonderful week!
Students had a magnificent time during the Jumprope for Heart Flash Mob.   They danced, jumped rope, and  exerted a lot of energy during the event. . Throughout the week, they gained information on  how to be heart-healthy.   Each student received a jump rope to continue jumping at home.

On Valentines Day, the students passed out and received cards. Thanks Mrs. Toomer for the delicious treats!     A special thanks for all  the cards and gifts I received.

As of  the current marking period, students' interim reports will no longer go home unless you request it from the teacher. We are asking that all parents access Parent Portal to view students' grades and progress. If you are not able to access Parent Portal, please see our school's registrar, Mrs. Williams.

This week, students will learn about severe weather.   Each student should bring in two identical water bottles to make a tornado by Tuesday.

The Book Fair will begin on Monday.  If you would like for your child to purchase books at the book fair, please send the money in an envelope with the following: book fair, student's name, my name, and the amount enclosed. (ex. Book Fair,  Nicholas Solomons,  Ms. Dailey's Class, $20) I will make sure your child visits the book fair to make his/her selection.
