Where’s the Honey, Honey

Hello Families!

We just wrapped up another great week of teaching and learning at Killian.  I am looking forward  to another productive week beginning Monday. 

CiCi's Pizza 
Students had an AWESOME time at CiCi's Pizza.   Thanks You Mrs. Lambert for chaperoning!     I have posted pictures and videos on Classtag for you to view.  

Killian Pageant 
Thursday, March 12   will be our Killian Pageant  from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.  Please come out to support  Jamison and Tayler our class King  and Queen.  

Student Holiday
Friday, March 13th  will be a School Holiday.  

MAP Testing
Second Grade students will take the end of the year MAP Test (Measure of Academic Progress)  at the end of March.  This is a computerized  test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child's academic growth.  Below  is a site to help students prepare for success.   


This week’s reading selection: Where’s the Honey, Honey?

Summary: In eastern Africa, the honeyguide bird and Boran people cooperate to find and harvest beehives. Signaling with whistles and tail feathers, the honeyguide leads the way to a hive packed with food.

Essential Questions: Why do honeyguides and people work together? Why is this partnership important? DISCUSS with your child some other partnerships that benefit both people and animals.
